C-Fire and C-Gas

Received : Here are all the innovations Team for the Planet has received through its innovations submission form

Making the invisible, visible and accountable.

Submission date March 10, 2022 Founders Craig Seaman Development location Centurion, South Africa

Detailed project

NB: this form is filled entirely by the ones submitting the innovation.

What is the issue addressed?

C-Fire - 24/7 detection of fires in urban, peri-urban and rural areas to prevent wild fires, CO2 emissions & loss of life. C-Gas - remote detection & monitoring of pollution from industrial/power plants, resulting in global warming, health problems and acidification of precious water resources.

How is the problem solved?

Spectral sensors for early detection of fires & industrial emissions scaled with deep learning to monitor cities, peri-urban & rural areas to effect change and create realtime awareness.Costs of wild fires and industrial pollution are currently externalized in favour of profits and politics .

What is the customer target?

Fire Protection Agencies, Foresters, Cities and Towns, Industrial and Power Plants, Environmental Protection Agencies, Disaster Management, National Standard Organisations, Farmers

How is this solution different?

C-Fire is dual spectrum imager - smoke and fire. Quicker and better wide area detection through smog/smoke and sunlight rejection (dont have to turn down camera gain when looking into sun). C-Gas is a wide area pollution detection device so can monitor emmissions off site. PM solutions require permission for site visit, a which time scrubbers are engaged. Busy working on quantification function.
